Hello mathematicians, puzzlers, and other curious people! One week from today will be a holiday, Labor Day, which recognizes the importance of the workers\’ rights movement. One of their major achievements was the standard workweek we now take for granted, consisting of 8 hour shifts on 5 weekdays. Previously, workers had been expected to work 6 days a week, often for a 12 hour shift each day. How could we express this change using percentages? Feel free to talk it over in the comments section, and then, if you want to see how I work with this question, I\’m planning to go live Friday afternoon at 2PM Central Time. Calc You Later!
