Hello mathematicians, puzzlers, and other curious people!
Are any of you currently interested in learning how mathematicians figure out whether patterns they notice about numbers, formulas, shapes, functions, and so on are coincidences or reliable facts? There\’s a new Long-Form Math book out on beginning proof-writing, and based on my experience with the author\’s previous book, I\’m definitely expecting to offer a class from it. If you\’re interested, check the Intro to Proof box in the form below.
I know there are also folks looking to make a change for the rest of the year, make summer learning plans, or get a jump on having a plan for fall. Maybe your district isn\’t offering remote, maybe you want to try something different from what they offer, maybe you\’ve been homeschooling a while and would like to take something off your planning list, or maybe you\’re a student who\’s ready for more than you\’ve been getting. If any of those sound relatable, fill this form out and let me know what to move to the top of my list.
